Collaborative Care Rooted in Science and Human Connection

Kate Caldwell believes that effective therapy is built on curiosity, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. Drawing on years of experience in psychotherapy, psychological research, and human behavior, Kate provides thoughtful, evidence-based care that helps clients move beyond survival toward meaningful, lasting change.

Kate is a Registered Psychotherapist who earned her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University after completing her undergraduate studies in French and Social Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. Fluent in both English and French, she provides therapy to adolescents and adults throughout Ontario and Connecticut, creating an inclusive, culturally responsive space where clients feel safe to explore even their most difficult experiences.

Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, and psychedelic integration, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual strengths, goals, and lived experiences.

A Unique Perspective on Human Behavior

Before becoming a psychotherapist, Kate spent nearly two decades as a user experience (UX) researcher, consultant, and educator, leading qualitative research projects across North America and Europe. This background sharpened her ability to listen deeply, understand complex human experiences, and appreciate the many ways people make meaning of their lives.

Today, that same curiosity and empathy inform every therapeutic relationship. Kate believes each client is the expert on their own experience, and therapy works best as a collaborative partnership built on trust, respect, and shared goals.
